These days, defined-benefit pensions like ours are rare. They are highly-valued.
The current pay-out for retiring members is $55 for every 1,000 hours worked. Say you had a 25-year career, with an average of 1,900 hours a year. Your guaranteed pension payment would be $2610 a month at normal retirement age.
Our pension plan is managed by a board of member and employer trustees. It is more than 100% funded, meaning that it has more than enough assets to fund all of its future obligations to members.
