Our members can take their career as far as they want with world-class training, absolutely free of charge!
Our union spends more than $200 million a year in North America on the most sophisticated, up-to-date craft skills training program on the continent. We're big believers in training, and we've become very good at it!
UBC Locals have training centres in both Saskatoon and Regina. We're planning to build a new building in Saskatoon that will include a 4,000 square-foot provincial millwright training shop.
We offer free courses in safety and many trade-related skills, as well as a Turbine Training prep course that enables you to study – at no cost! – at our impressive International Training Centre in Las Vegas. In Vegas, you'll work on big Frame 5 turbines, and you'll end up with certification that's respected world-wide.
